Coles Express Fuel Prices in Australia
Coles Express was one of Australia's largest convenience and fuel retail networks, operating approximately 700 service stations across the country before undergoing a significant ownership transition in 2023. The brand was established in 2003 when Coles Myer acquired Shell Australia's retail business, creating a powerful combination of grocery loyalty and fuel retail.
In May 2023, Viva Energy Australia purchased the Coles Express network for $300 million. Following this acquisition, Viva Energy began rebranding the network to Reddy Express, though many stations still operate with Coles Express signage during the transition period.
Coles Express stations sell Shell-branded fuels under a long-term supply agreement that extends through to 2029. This means customers continue to access Shell's range of quality fuels including V-Power 98, Unleaded 91, E10, Premium 95, V-Power Diesel, and standard Diesel.
